Sarah Thompson, MM, MT-BC, NMT Fellow
Founder, Music Therapist


Sarah Thompson is a board certified music therapist who completed her studies in music therapy at the nationally renowned programs at the University of Kansas and Colorado State University. She is a Fellow in the Robert F. Unkefer Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy at the Center for Biomedical Research in Music at Colorado State University. She began her professional career in Colorado in 2003.

Sarah has experience with a wide variety of populations including neurologic rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, dementia and hospice. She has also worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, out-patient clinics, long term care facilities and in-home care. She has first-hand experience in program development, grant writing and insurance reimbursement. Sarah has given a number of informational presentations about music therapy
    
to patients, families, support groups and professionals. She has also given a number of presentations at both regional and national conferences. Sarah was the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association for Music Therapy (CAMT) from 2005 to 2009. She is a current member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Colorado Association for Music Therapy (CAMT).
